Strengthening the ability of families to raise successful,
non-violent and non-drug-using children is a critical
social goal.
The
Strengthening Families Program (SFP) is a national model:
the first research-based parenting program specifically designed
for parents (with children ages six to 14 years old) working to
overcome substance abuse. Targeting families at high risk, the
Strengthening Families Program provides a direct service by presenting
a skill-building curriculum for children age six-14 years old
and their parents. ECCPASA's Strengthening Families Program began
in September of 1998.
