FOCUS on CONSEQUENCES

An educational intervention about alcohol and/or other drug problems.

A meaningful, productive option in cases where alternatives are lacking.

Program Goals:

  • Increase awareness about the effects of alcohol and other drugs
  • Foster self-evaluation about abusing alcohol and other drugs and probable consequences
  • Reduce further negative consequences from the use of alcohol and other drugs
This one-day, intensive program offers:
  • Professionally developed curriculum
  • Experienced, professional
    facilitators
  • Up-to-date information
    about alcohol and
    other drugs
  • Personal exploration of social norms and consequences
  • Timely, confidential feedback to referral sources on each

  • An up-to-date knowledge of alcohol and other drugs as well as a better understanding of their responsibility to the social system and of the dynamics leading to addiction. This is achieved through a mixture of interactive instruction and group discussion. Participants will share the circumstances which brought them to the program. Instructors will consider confidential all information disclosed in the classroom - both orally and in writing.
